A 50-foot bronze statue of Prometheus holding a burning torch, standing on Texas coastal flats with a stainless rocket on its launch mount in the distance

Starbase, Texas Β· 50 feet of cast bronze

PROMETHEUS

He stole fire from the gods and handed it to men. Twenty-six centuries later a French foundry cast him in bronze, shipped him across the Atlantic in crates, and stood him up at the gates of Starbase β€” torch raised over the launch site.

The oldest trade in history

He took the fire
and never gave it back

Zeus kept fire for the gods. Prometheus hid an ember in a fennel stalk, walked it down the mountain and gave it to a species that had nothing. For that he was chained to a rock, and for that we got everything else β€” metal, engines, launch towers, the whole loud civilisation.

The Titan is the patron saint of doing it anyway. Of building the thing the committee said no to. Of paying the bill yourself and putting it up on the land you cleared.

  • Fire is taken, not granted. Nobody ever got permission first.
  • The punishment is part of the price. Chains, eagles, drawdowns.
  • The torch only counts if you hand it on. One ember, ten thousand fires.

A million dollars of bronze, commissioned by nobody

Atelier Missor is a classical foundry outside Paris run by two brothers, Missor and Massoud. They cast Hercules, Joan of Arc, Napoleon. In August 2026 they announced they'd cast a 50-foot Prometheus, freighted it to south Texas and were bolting it together on private land just past the Starbase city line.

Nobody ordered it. SpaceX didn't pay for it and neither did Musk. The atelier funded roughly $1,000,000 of bronze themselves and called it a gift β€” a thank-you to the people trying to get humanity off this rock.

How you move a Titan four thousand miles

You cast him in pieces, you crate the pieces, you sail them, and then you put a crane under his chest in the Texas heat and lift.

The pour

Molten bronze into buried moulds at a Paris-area atelier that still works the Greco-Roman way β€” by hand, in sand, in the dark.

The crossing

A Titan in timber bracing on a container deck. Arms, torso, torch β€” each section freighted separately to the Gulf.

The lift

Straps around the chest, two workers the size of thumbnails, a concrete plinth on the flats. Bolted seam by seam.

The torch goes up

"In a few days, Prometheus will stand 50 ft tall, holding high the torch of the West." He does now β€” facing the pad.

Atelier Missor β€” on why they shipped a Titan to Texas

The part that isn't finished

Bronze was the prototype

The brothers have said the quiet part out loud: bronze is where they started, titanium is where they're going. Their stated ambition is a far larger Prometheus in mirror-polished titanium β€” a metal picked for the same reasons a rocket picks it, corrosion resistance and strength for the weight β€” pressed in an argon environment by computer-controlled dies.

Their line: β€œgigantic titanium statues will lead us to a beautiful future.” And after that β€” β€œlarger and larger Prometheus statues everywhere across the West.”

One coin, one Titan, the same direction of travel: up and to the right, forever, until the thing is the size of the ambition.

Is this coin official? Did Atelier Missor or SpaceX make it?
No. $Prometheus is an independent community memecoin that launched off the statue's reveal on 8 August 2026. It has no affiliation with, endorsement from, or connection to Atelier Missor, SpaceX, or Elon Musk. The statue is real and it is theirs; the coin is ours.
Is the statue actually real?
Yes. Atelier Missor β€” a French classical foundry run by the Missor brothers β€” cast a roughly 50-foot bronze Prometheus, shipped it to south Texas and assembled it on private land just outside the Starbase city limits in August 2026. It was reported by local Rio Grande Valley news and covered widely after the atelier posted the first images. It cost the atelier around $1M and was not commissioned or funded by SpaceX.
Why Prometheus and not, say, Icarus?
Because Prometheus is the one who got away with it. He stole the fire, he handed it over, and the punishment never undid the gift. Icarus is a cautionary tale about altitude; Prometheus is a story about supply.
Where do the numbers at the top come from?
Straight from the Dexscreener public API for the live PumpSwap pair, refreshed every 30 seconds in your browser. Nothing is cached or massaged here β€” if the chart is red, the site is red.
Tax? Team allocation? Roadmap?
It's a memecoin about a statue. No tax, no vesting schedule, no whitepaper, no promises. The only roadmap is the one the atelier published: bigger, and in titanium.
